This movie was great! Finally we've got a movie out of Hollywood that is just a great movie through and through, with no "Oh, now why did they have to put that in there?" moments. Leave it to Steve Carell and Jim Carey of all people to star in a family-valued, Christian-centered movie. Yes, shockingly Christians will recognize several themes in the movie, which are portrayed without "preachiness". In fact, non-Christians will probably not even pick up on it. Issues range from the importance of family through to anti-abortion ("A person's a person, no matter how small") and public-school-indoctrination ("It's for the kids! It's all for the sake of the kids!").
Finally these family-valued issues were portrayed in a soft, respectful, common-sense light. And at the same time, your kids will love it! As oppose to the horribly liberal biased movie Happy Feet, which bored my daughter nearly to death (actually, I believe she did fall asleep in the theatre).
I urge Christians everywhere to support this movie! Voting with your checkbook is the only way we'll see more of these movies and less Saw sequels. Go see it, and buy it when it comes out.
P.S. Haven't we had enough Ice Age movies (the previews for Horton debuts a teaser for a new one)? The first one was good, the second was... there. Do we need a third? I love the squirrel (which I think is the only reason anyone watched the 2nd one), but I think we get the point that the squirrel has issues collecting acorns.
